We had some work done on the car last week and also had to replace the battery. I read if the battery gets low or has to be replaced it couldl trigger the immobilizer. My husband drove it to work the other day no problems but couldn't get home after work as the car wouldn't start. The "car" is flashing on the dash and the read out states "Immob.
Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. This will disable the engine immobiliser. 2. Locate the engine control unit, or ECU. It’s usually found near the battery. 3. Using a screwdriver, remove the ECU’s cover. 4. Locate the ECU’s main fuse.

After a while, found that even after a 200mile journey that the battery was just not retaining it's charge. (second thought was that the alternator may be shot).
